Non-ablative, surface intact

MOXI is a non-ablative fractional laser at 1927nm. Unlike HALO or Helix CO2, MOXI does not break the skin surface. It delivers energy in microscopic columns into the dermis, stimulating collagen and clearing some superficial pigment while the top layer stays intact.

The tradeoff versus HALO

MOXI does less per session but with almost no downtime. Most patients are slightly pink for a day, with a fine sandpaper texture for two to three days as microscopic exfoliation occurs. It is safe on all skin types including darker skin.

Who it is for

Often positioned as pre-juvenation for patients in their twenties through early forties who want to hold skin quality without downtime, or as a maintenance layer between more aggressive treatments. Three to four sessions monthly, then every four to six months.

The session itself

Session length is thirty to forty-five minutes including topical numbing. Sensation is warmth and light prickling; most patients tolerate it well with numbing alone.

Recovery

One day of slight pinkness plus two to three days of fine sandpaper texture as microscopic exfoliation occurs. Makeup is comfortable within twenty-four hours. There is no visible peeling and no restriction on normal activity.

The course

Three to four sessions spaced monthly, with maintenance every four to six months thereafter. Full result builds across the series. MOXI is safe on all skin types including darker skin where more aggressive lasers carry pigment risk.
