How miraDry works
miraDry uses microwave energy to permanently destroy the sweat and odor glands in the underarm. The energy is delivered at a wavelength preferentially absorbed by the water-rich sweat glands, while surrounding tissue is protected by integrated cooling.

Why it is permanent
Because the treated glands are destroyed rather than temporarily disabled, they do not regenerate. Most patients see significant reduction after one session and complete reduction after two sessions spaced three months apart. It is the only FDA-cleared permanent option.
