PRF is prepared from a small blood draw at the start of your appointment. The blood is centrifuged for a short time, separating a fibrin-rich layer with concentrated platelets, growth factors, and white blood cells, which is drawn up and placed back into your skin or scalp.

How PRF outperforms PRP
PRF is a successor generation to PRP. The difference: PRF has no anticoagulant, so the fibrin matrix stays intact and slowly releases growth factors over seven to ten days rather than releasing them all at once. That extended release drives better tissue regeneration.

Common uses
Undereye rejuvenation (where filler is too risky), skin quality across the face and neck, and hair restoration for early androgenetic thinning. A course usually runs three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Results build over two to four months.

The blood draw and processing
A PRF visit starts with a small blood draw at the beginning of the appointment. Blood is centrifuged for about ten minutes while you are prepared for the injection. Total visit time is forty-five to sixty minutes.

The injections
Sensation is a pinch per injection. Because PRF is your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction to the product itself, though injection-site reactions are possible like any injection.

Recovery and results
Downtime is mild swelling and possible bruising for two to three days. Results build over two to four months as the tissue responds to the growth factors released by the PRF matrix.
Frequently asked
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PRF and PRP?PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) has no anticoagulant, so the fibrin matrix stays intact and slowly releases growth factors over seven to ten days rather than releasing them all at once. That extended release outperforms PRP for tissue regeneration. How many sessions do I need?Typically three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Results build over two to four months from the final session. What can PRF treat?Undereye rejuvenation (where filler is too risky), skin quality across the face and neck, and hair restoration for early androgenetic thinning. Often paired with microneedling in the same visit.
