Lip filler is a subset of dermal filler where the goal, the anatomy, and the technique are specific enough that we treat it as its own conversation. The plan starts with what the lip looks like at rest and what it does when you speak and smile, not with a picture of a lip shape.

Technique matched to your baseline
A lip that lacks body but has good shape gets filler along the wet-dry border. A lip with good body but poor definition gets filler along the vermillion border. Lips needing both get a staged approach where the first visit does less than the target and the follow-up finishes.

Conservative on the first visit
We place slightly less than the target and invite you back at two to four weeks to add if wanted, rather than the reverse. Results settle over two weeks, hold nine to twelve months, and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase at any point.

The appointment itself
Session length is thirty to forty-five minutes. A dental block is typically offered to numb the lips before injection, which makes the process nearly painless. Sensation is a pressure feeling as the product is placed.

The swelling window
Expect swelling in the first two to three days that can make the lips look larger than the final result, and possible bruising at the injection sites. Lips are back to normal-looking within seven to ten days.

The settled result
Results settle over two weeks. The final result is typically smaller than day-one appearance because initial swelling resolves. Duration is nine to twelve months. First-time patients are seen back at two to four weeks to assess and add.
