HALO carries two laser wavelengths in a single handpiece delivered in the same pass. The 2940nm erbium addresses surface texture through microscopic ablation. The 1470nm non-ablative addresses tone, pigment, and dermal collagen without breaking the surface.

Why the downtime is manageable
The two wavelengths work in coordinated microcolumns rather than treating the whole surface. HALO delivers a resurfacing result with a fraction of the downtime of full CO2 resurfacing: four to seven days of pink and peeling instead of ten to fourteen.

What it addresses
HALO addresses fine lines, uneven tone, sun damage, mild-to-moderate texture change, pore appearance, and dermal collagen support in one treatment. Full result matures over three to four months. Most patients get a single session per year.

The session itself
Session length is forty-five to sixty minutes including topical numbing applied thirty to forty-five minutes before treatment. Sensation is heat and mild prickling. A fan and cool compress are used during the session for comfort.

Recovery day by day
Days one to two: skin is red, hot, tight, similar to a strong sunburn. Days three to five: skin darkens, texture roughens, and starts to slough. Days five to seven: sloughing completes. Days seven to ten: pinkness fades, makeup is comfortable.

Results and cadence
Full result matures over three to four months as collagen response continues. Most patients get one session per year. Patients with significant photodamage may benefit from two sessions six to eight weeks apart before switching to annual maintenance.
